One Monday afternoon at the local trail town saloon, Grizzlywas having a few cold ones with his wife, Trail Dust and their friends. Suddenly, in comes one of their senior PCT hikingpartners.
Grizzly and their friends say to him, “Everyone here wastalking about the beautiful woman you were seen escorting around town thisweekend. They say she was fantastic withlong hair and a beautiful smile. And shewas hanging all over you.”
“Where did you meether and how did you get hooked up?”
His friend replies, “It was no problem at all. I met her at the big hiking store intown. We talked and I took her over tothe jewelry shop.”
“I told the jeweler to bring out a tray of rings. They were $2000 rings, so I told him to bringout his special ring tray. So, hebrought out the $10,000 ring tray. Shegot very excited and teary eyed. She waseven shaking.”
“I told her to pick out the ring she liked. I told the jeweler I would pay by check. He said that was fine and I could pick up thering on Monday after it cleared.”
“On Mondaymorning, the jeweler angrily phoned me and said: 'There's no money in thataccount.'
“I know,”I replied. “But let me tell you aboutthe great weekend I had.”
