You know, I have been reading this list for about 2 years now and have
never really chimed in much. But today I can't resist. I was reading this
thread this am over coffee and too some note. However, what really brought
it t o mind again was while at the Chatachuk weekend market today in
Bangkok. I ran across everything fishy dried you could want. Octopus,
squid all kinds of of fish and a couple varieties of shrimp/prawns. Did
not see much in the way of dried veggies. All fresh. 8000 booths at this
market. Unfortunately, I can't get any and ship as when I leave Thailand
in 21 days, I just go back to my island of Kwajalein until I go home in
June and hike 250 miles of the CDT in my own backyard. Home to CONUS for
two months. Full PCT in two years when I leave the equator area and opt
for cooler climes.
