Josh,

Consider this;

Averaging 17 miles per day yields 157 days plus zeros

Averaging 20 miles per day yields 133.4 days plus zeros

Averaging 21 miles per day yields 127 days plus zeros

Averaging 22 miles per day yields 121.3 days plus zeros

Averaging 23 miles per day yields 116 days plus zeros

Averaging 24 miles per day yields 111.2 days plus zeros

Averaging 25 miles per day yields 106.7 days plus zeros

Sounds like you want to be in that 20+ average. Nothing special is really
required other than some old fashion planning. I recommend
http://www.pctplanner.com/, the PCT Data Book, Postholer's Website and
Halfmile maps. Beyond that a spreadsheet

Hello to all,

This is my first post here and am excited to have found this resource to
help in my planning.

I am planning a thru-hike this summer and hoping to accomplish it in under
4 months. I know this has been done and tried searching the archives of the
various PCT-related sites, but I haven't been able find much specifics in
regards to the schedule of hikers who have accomplished this. Would someone
be able to direct me to a trail journal (or similar resource) of a hiker
who has completed it in a similar timeframe? My hope is to find a few
trail-tested itineraries so I have a better idea of how to plan out my hike
and resupply strategies. Thanks for the help!
