If that is the case, I wonder if it would help to move the cache back to
the other side of the highway where there was no parking and very little
shade.

Removing the cache at Scissors Crossing will likely put more pressure on
the cache at the third gate as people head into the San Felipe hills
with less water than they would have otherwise.
