Thanks for those kind words Dale - If I remember correctly, it was
raining/sprinkling and you were in your tent? and thanks to all the well
wishing and support! It'll be a good year for another go and Ive learned in
the last couple days there are 3 possibly 4 others attempting the same
thing!

As for the story about me by Matt (Iceaxe), thats mostly true. My pack was
actually about 18lbs (with alll the camera gear) but I did carry the
absolutely useless 2lbs  "Squid" weight from the lead weight cache at mile
77 all the way to Canada and left it in the monument...which I was told
last year by Lint that it still resides there. Thus another goal of mine is
to hike to Canada to retrieve my hiking companion. As for Sonora pass,
someone had left a 12pack and we indulged in one...had we been carrying out
own private beer supply, I doubt we'd have made it very far haha.
