I just blow my esbit tab out. I get at least two meals worth out of one
tab. (A "meal" being heating up a liter of water!).

All,

I love my esbit stove set-up, but it does not have a shut-off
valve. Closures on the PCT to such stoves this year are very specific
(certain milepoints). Most of my campsites on my PCT section hike will
be outside restricted stove areas, and the one time this cannot be
avoided, I planned to boil the water for my dinner outside the area, and
let my dinner re-hydrate while I hike to camp. You can get updates and
information on which areas
