[pct-l] Jackets for the northern PCT

If you're planning to get a new down jacket for the PNW section of the PCT,
I suggest you get one with waterproof down. 
 
I did recently buy a MH Ghost Whisperer (with waterproof down) on sale at Backcountry.com.  
I live in the PNW but, alas, haven't had the opportunity to test it on a trip.

If you normally hike with UL breathable rain gear, another thing to consider switching to when you
get to the PNW is a more waterproof rain barrier.
