[pct-l] Base weight criteria, AND...

I heard a talk by an experienced backpacker once.  She suggested that two 
pounds each for tent, sleeping bag, and pack is a good start.  Tent would 
include any ground cloth or footprint; sleeping bag would include any 
sleeping pad or air mattress.  Pack would include any pack cover.

I am not a lite -weight hiker. Carry tent,synthetic bag camera etc.and my 
base weight is #16's. Can't imagine what you would be carrying to have that 
much on your back. If you live near a Wolverine have them go through your 
pack.  Marmot
