That's actually a really good idea Piper. As a dog owner I was initially
considering ways to incorporate my dog into the hike. She is a great hiking
companion and treads very lightly on trail. I've been amazed at how quiet
she is when we're on hikes and she rarely strays from her heel position on
trail. Anyway, knowing how much I will miss her, it sounds like a good idea
to try to arrange for her to meet me somewhere near the end, what a
motivator that would be!
