I have often speculated that, when campfire/stove, permits are issued they
should be in the form of 2 separate permits. One for stoves only in So.
California and the second for Campfire/stove combination after hikers are
out of So. California. Possibly this would draw more attention to the
illegality of So. California campfires. After all how often do thrus camp
at sites with a concrete ring in So. California???
