[pct-l] Question about Yosemite side trip

H-m-m. Haven't heard that one. In fact, Tom Stienstra (SF Chronicle's
outdoors writer) said that last year, tourist companies grabbed most of the
available permits, but that this year they had 'improved' the process.
That's the closest attention I've paid.

I heard that if you get a backpacking permit for Yosemite you can kind of
"sneak past" the Half Dome lottery.
