Half Dome is more than 10 miles off the PCT.
About 18 miles.
The side trip up Mt.Whitney is a short one.
Devils Postpile is just off the trail.

Hi guys

I was wondering what notable/worthy sidetrips there are off the trail (no more 
than 10 miles from the trail). For example half dome in Yosemite is just a few 
miles off the trail and is one of the best sights in the park. Passing it up 
would be a shame when you're so close. What other detours are worth setting foot 
off the trail to take a look?
