[pct-l] Alcool stove questions

Hi all,
Pretty much the last question I have before I embark on my PCT adventure is about my newly made eagle scout style alcohol stove. I have made my alcohol stove and generally it works ok, but I'm having a couple of problems that I'm hoping someone on this blog will be alble to help me with.
I can't seem to make the flame prioritise the jets. I ahve tried several combination of hole size and fuel route through the bottom of the stove but nothing seems to work. Everytime I light the stove it splutters abit and lights the jets but always with a yellow flame over the central section. What am I doing wrong? Further, the alochol is definitely evaporating out of the central section. Whenever I set my pot directly on the stove and then lift it off 30 seconds later the bottom of my pot is on fire where the alcohol has evaporated and then condensed on the underside of my pot. Does anyone know how to optimise my stove?For clarification I am using industrial 96% alcohol.
