[pct-l] ULA Helix Ice Axe

A friend offered to let me borrow his ULA helix ice axe and ULA Axis
crampons for the sierras this year. The ice axe is not technically
certified as an ice axe and the crampons are barely crampons, but they are
extremely light and seems to have some functionality. Does anyone have
experience with using this axe on the PCT? Do you think they'd be OK if it
continues to be a low snow year?

I have almost NO experience with ice axes and crampons (besides practicing
self-arrest on a steep sledding hill), so any advice would be appreciated!
