[pct-l] Warm weather hiking food

Egads, I feel sorry for you. This is not the time of year to be back
there.
I seem not to have the problem of losing my appetite. I suppose what
I would bring would be dehydrated vegetables, sweet potatoes and
dehydrated cooked meat (chicken or pork) all mixed together and just
rehydrate it during the day in my jar. Rehydrate a few hours before
meal time. Skip the bars and not bother cooking anything. And some
salty snacks to help combat the hyponatremia.
If I knew there would be a cold spring on my route, I would perhaps
bring a package of instant pudding and some dried milk and make some
pudding at the spring.
As for Southern California in general, especially this year, I would
not go backpacking out there until after the first rain of the
season. This means probably Thanksgiving weekend will be the next
time to go backpacking out there.
