If you base weight is 18 lbs, you are going to need at least a 50-60L bag.
You will need room for sometimes 6 days of food or more, from Kennedy
Meadows to VVR or Muir Ranch. Some sections, you will have to carry a lot
of water.

I just got the ULA Ohm II this year and it was GREAT! My base weight is
about 14-15 I think. The Six Moons also have really great packs. Before
this year, when my base weight was 18 lbs I had a Deuter 60-75 lt. It was
3.75 lbs and really comfortable. There is really no need to get a pack
over 3.75 lbs. Whichever one you get, I recommend one with an internal
frame to help support the weight of you pack and deliver the weight to your
pelvis, instead of pulling on your shoulders all day. Women are not as
strong above the waist. Our strength from the waist down is actually more
similar to a man (not on steroids) so you will be more comfortable with
your pelvis carrying the weight of your pack.
