I am a stage 4 lung cancer survivor (Aug 2006), prostate cancer (Nov 2010)
and throat cancer (Dec 2010) and have hiked 1353 miles of the PCT in the
past 2 years. I too am writing a book and much of the proceeds will go to the
American Lung Association. I also plan on donating a significant part of
the proceeds to the PCT. I hope I am able to donate a lot.

My book is more about the cancers and the PCT helps demonstrate my
overcoming adversity. I have struggled hiking the PCT and I don't think
many people will be inspired to hike based on my experiences.
