Hi Tracy + all,
Thanks for the confirmation about the visa issue. I havent thought that far ahead when it comes to an extension. I think i'm going to wait until I'm on the trail and have a better idea of when i'll be finishing. Hopefully I will finish the PCT, and then continue travelling, and probably outside of the US. I haven't a flight or other transport booked yet so I don't quite know what I'm going to say to the immigration people in San Deigo when they ask about proof that I will leave the US, I think I'm just going to bring proof of funds and hope that's suffcient.
If I find out more about the extension I will make sure I post it.
Patrick

When you read on the governmental website who ESTA is aimed, at it seems specific to non-visa holders and only to Visa Waiver people. As you've already gone through a much more rigorous and expensive authorization path in getting your B-2 visa I would think that this is your authorization to enter the US.

I'm guessing not but I don't want to arrive at the airport and be refused for something so trivial. Does anyone know what to do here, or can anyone speak from experience?
