Another option not noted by Halfmile is to hitch to Greenville.  East to the 'Y', then North. There is a campground about a half mile North of town. Could alternatively head to Quincy by hitching South from the 'Y'. Realistically, any ride you get initially at Belden will pass one or the other so a good strategy would be to rely on luck of the draw.
