I found this information while visiting Mariposa, just outside of 
Yosemite, today. The visitor center had a flyer for a Hostel that
is in Midpines on Hwy 140 which is on the YARTS route from Merced to
Yosemite. One of the Stops is the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort.

The Resort is a member of Hostelling International and they advertise
it as Yosemite's best Value - $22.00 and up + tax. They have Dorms,
Tent Cabins, & Private rooms along with a cafe and swimming hole.
