I would just add a couple things:
 
1. 
This is a busy weekend in the Gorge for us locals, right before schools are starting up for the kids
so I would expect there will be a gazillion people out at and around Cascase Locks.  If you're
up for it, one-in-a-gazillion chances of hitching into town.
 
2. 
If you arrive earlier/later (midweek) and catch the bus into Vancouver, Fishers Landing
it is either super simple to catch C-tran and Tri-Met/Max to the airport (as Lance helped out
with those links) or, one us could probably lift you between Fishers Landing and the airport, 
that is about a 15min trip.
 
I'm down in Bend hiking that weekend but will be back Monday evening.
Message me if it looks like you'll show up Friday, late Monday or Tuesday and my wife and/or I can help out.
