Not it isn't, when you consider the amounts of money that could be at stake.

How many folks that really enjoy the outdoors are female? How many buy
bras? How many would stop spending money on bras if they became convinced
it isn't necessary? How many could be swayed into a sports bra if convinced
it's a better choice for a given activity? Etc., etc., etc...

Some studies are good scientific research. The rest are simply about money,
while a small fraction of a percentage are just for fun but sometimes
reveal something very interesting and/or useful.
