Yes, but...  ...unless you want the hammock to 'dictate' your daily mileage occasionally (either stopping early 
or hiking farther than desired to get to a decent hang location), be prepared to 'go to ground' once in awhile.
Also, think 'outside the box' a little - you don't always have to hang from only trees...

I'll be out there with you next year - with my hammock, too!  HYOH also means "Hang Your Own Hammock"!
