[pct-l] Things you wish you knew before you hiked the PCT...and rain pants

Hi all,

I'd like some feedback from veteran PCT thru-hikers about a) things they wish they had known before they started hiking the PCT and/or b) things they would have done differently in retrospect. Really open-ended, I know.

ALSO I'm looking for tips on rain pants. Any lightweight options out there? I'm not looking to spend a lot on cuben fiber pants. Anyone have thoughts on panchos?
