[pct-l] GPS - which one

The one that is best for you depends on what information you want the
GPS to provide.

Once you determine the type of information that you will need then
look for which units will provide it.

Do you want location only - They all do this - no need to buy a high
end when a basic unit will work. No need to buy a high end unit if you
are not going to use the features - ie like the ones that are designed
to get you around in your car.

Do you need to preload locations, enter routes, Color vs black and
white
then get a unit that will provide it at a price that you are ok with.

You indicated you have a older unit that is only sort of working -
look to
see if it is still available. You know how it works so no learning
curve and
you know how long the batteries will last.

I am considering buying a new GPS unit as mine has been acting funky
lately and it's 7-8 years old. What is the consensus of opinion, best
unit for best price. Thanks. Trail Sampler and Smiles
