[pct-l] Hiking Without a Tether

Good morning, Jim,

Your plans and methods are strictly your business; but based upon my
experience, and the experience of many thousands of section and thru-hikers
who have safely enjoyed the PCT without any electronic tether to their
“mother-ship”, I will say that I find it incomprehensible that anyone would
shelf plans for a hike just because they couldn't -- or wouldn't -- afford
such a device.
