FWIW, I encountered Barracuda and Sparrow between Stevens and Snoqualmie Pass toward the end of August; I was headed south and they were heading north. She was claiming thru hike at that point with an 8 or 9 year old a couple of weeks behind.

I read what I could find and concluded that they returned home a few times lengthy due to injuries on Sparrows part. Also they were doing 30 mile plus days. With a 7 yr old (really) and spending a lot of time "playing" on the trail. Balls and Sunshine we followed almost daily on both the PCT and the AT with their journals and pics. I'm with others. Show me the proof of actual accomplishment. Your word is only as good as your proof if you want a title.

Do a google search for Sparrow and Barracuda. It is a pretty sparse journal.
