[pct-l] Sore knees (aren't much fun)

Last season I sustained a bone bruise on the top of my Fibula from the loss
of joint padding between it and my Femur (a product of advanced age). This
occurred doing the 7 mile down hill between Cattle Gate and Barrel Springs
at a fast pace at the end of the day. It ended my hiking last year at Lost
Valley Rd. and took a *very* long time to heal.
When I hit the trail again this season I noticed a twinge after the 1st day
then it got better. I am surmising that the massive infusions of water we
drink while on the trail and my awareness (ie: downhills at a slower pace)
have made the difference. So, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate... and don't bust
the downhills just because you think you can.
