[pct-l] PCT thru hiker needs trek poles

John Sui (Tapatio) looking for pair of cheap trekking poles. Currently holed up at Mount Laguna/ Burnt Racherita. Putting the word out for a determined hiker with a sore knee.

The cheapest way to go: free from a tree branch that has fallen to the ground.  Before the fancy poles became popular in the U.S. hikers were using sticks (or old ski poles).  If he has to have the metal collapsible poles, I think Wal Mart sells some cheap ones.  Or is he just hoping someone will give him some old ones they aren't using anymore?
