What you're seeing isn't a problem with BCN, but rather a shortcoming of
the map source. The track for the PCT disappears in the area that is
monotone for some reason. Given that the map source looks the same for both
BCN and Halfmile, the track continuing on is the result of Halfmile's
efforts.
If you want the track to show in BCN then you need to download Halfmiles
tracks and use them with BCN.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can use a pdf as a map
source in BCN.

Who has any experience with this software?
I have downloaded the first parts of the PCT. At around mile 71
(SectionA page 9 of Halfmiles maps) the PCT is no more shown and
reapears at mile 105.5. It then disapears again aroung mile 126 and
again reappears at mile 143.
Both times the maps change from green contours to black contours. And it
seems to be the same map as Halfmiles except for this missing part of
the PCT.
Is this a download question? Or is there really a gap in the maps with
BackCountry Navigator?
