My experience was you can't "blow right past the trail"...the road dead ends 
at the TH. Both north and south THs are obvious.

If you do this, do it slowly. The PCT crosses this road at a hairpin curve
and coming from Seiad, you are unlikely to see the NB trail due to the big
tree you are trying to avoid on your right as you're curving right. You will
see the parking area on the left (outside) of the curve. The side trail to
the spring and the SB PCT head in opposite directions from the parking area.

Take your time and you'll have no trouble. Go racing up the road expecting a
sign or kiosk and you'll blow right past the trail.

The easiest and best access is to drive to the town of Seiad Valley (on Hwy.
96 not far off of I-5) and take Seiad Valley Road right there beside the
store/café, it takes you right up to Cook and Green Pass. You avoid the long
climb this way.  easy drive of about 12 miles. Did it last year.
