Another water option: I ditched my Hiker Pro for a SteriPEN and I love that
thing.  Doesn't change the taste, it's lighter and easier to use than a
pump, and (I could change my mind after a thru-hike but...) the batteries
seem to last a long time. It took me awhile to trust that a light was
actually purifying my water...but I've used it the past two summers and
haven't gotten sick yet!
