Hi All,Thank you for your replies, that was very helpful (especially concerning the kahtoola spikes). My hiking partner and I are very close friends, the "sisters" kind, we've hiked a lot together and for long stretches, it works very well. Packing gear for two instead of each his own is rather a state of mind than solely a weight question.Still, thank you for sharing your experience, it is much appreciated!
