Hey Rich,

I like your plan for doing the PCT. Take the time to enjoy that wonderful trail.

Louis Lamour's "Last of the Breed" is one of my favorites. I do not know that there was going to be a "second" Last of the Breed.

Subject: great quote

Edward, I really like reading your posts and have looked at your slide show.
The quote you used is really the crux of hiking and getting out of town.  I
am from Montana and know a bit about hiking and using horses and mules for
packing.  I worked for Glacier National Park for 8 years doing both, plus it
was my back yard.  Now I am coasting out to retirement on this little island
540 miles north of the equator.  3 mile by 1/2 mile island.  Government
contract.  When I leave here in 4 or 5 years, I intend to thru hike the PCT
at 65 and take my time if possible.  If I make it, fine, if not I will
section hile it till I can't hike anymore.  Keep posting and ridin.

Too bad we all did not get to see the second "Last of the Breed" by Louis.

Thanks
