Natalie,
If your sister flew to LA this is one option.

Metrolink Train from LA Union Station to Lancaster:

On Mon, Wed, or Fri you can take the CREST bus from Lancaster to Pearsonville.

Note that Pearsonville is a remote highway intersection, not a town
with any kind of services, and it's 30 miles from Kennedy Meadows.

Tom from the Kennedy Meadows Cyber Cafe probably has ideas on how to
travel the final 30 miles from Pearsonville to Kennedy Meadows.

could connect with the Mon, Wed, Fri CREST bus (above):

I would avoid flying to Fresno, it's not convenient unless she decides
to take Amtrak to Yosemite where you could meet in Tuolumne Meadows.

----------

For the return from the Sonora Pass, consider hitching to Bridgeport
and taking the CREST bus to Reno:

Seems that flights are cheapest to Fresno, or Bakersfield. Is there anyone who could possibly drive her from the airport to Kennedy Meadows? I'm sure you'd be reimbursed for at least gas money as well as an infinite supply of gratitude. Also looking for a ride from Sonora Pass area to (possibly) Modesto. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
