I can personally attest to the existence of sirens on the trail.  Keep your wits about you men.

Easy:
1)  Whey protein should be an important part of your trail diet.
2)  Make plenty of flaxseed-and-honey hardtack for the trail.
3)  It's all there, all that stuff in the Odyssey--maelstroms, syrens, cyclops, all of it--it's all out there on the trail!
