Good afternoon,

I agree with Timothy – except for his last statement, * **“**Generally,
each resupply is at a pass which means you're carrying a full resupply
uphill.”*

That depends upon the pass:  Hikers climb up, and up, and up to cross a
trail pass, then go down and down again.  Hikers walk down, and down, and
down to cross a road pass before climbing up and up again.
