[pct-l] Options at Mammoth

I'm planning a short, 3-night hike for next summer. I'll jump off at
Tuolumne Meadows and come out at Mammoth. This trip has been on my bucket
list for a while, so I'm looking forward to it.

 

I've laid out the route in Topo and picked my campsites. I've looked into
the YARTS bus that leaves Mammoth in the morning, to take me back to my car
at Tuolumne. I've researched a hostel in Mammoth where I can stay the night
before my bus ride back. It's just a short walk to one of the YARTS stops.

 

Here's my question: I'll be on the trail starting around Sept 19 or 20. Does
the Mammoth area shuttle still run after Labor Day? After waking up at
Thousand Island Lake, I can come out at either Agnew Meadows or Devils
Postpile. Any recommendations as far as catching a ride into town from
either of these locations?
