The ideas that anti-oxidants and vitamins are automatically "good for
you" makes sense, but the truth is a lot more complicated than that.
The reality is that things like Cancer actual like to have their
vitamins and antioxidants too.

Also relying on plants for their medicinal chemicals is a bit risky,
because the actual quantity of the active ingredients vary greatly
from crop to crop.
Eating lots of varied fresh fruits and vegetables is undeniably good
for you, but focusing on this months fad health food probably isn't
going to do anyone any good except for the companies selling it.
