[pct-l] PCT Hiker Register

On my thru-hike in 1980, the PCT registers were the only means to communicate with others thru-hikers. (Think how tough it was to backpack without today's technologies: GPS, cell phones, Spot devices.)
I fall into the category of old, ancient thru-hikers urging these to be scanned and posted, or made available to the public. 
If you write in the register, indeed do so for the viewing pleasure of other hikers. But also anticipate they will wind up in a archive viewable to non-hikers interested in understanding what life was like on the PCT.
