You all will most likely find the same usual amount of blow downs up here
in the North Cascades. When you get north of Stevens Pass (any weather
conditions) you will loose a good third of your average miles per day. It
is caused by lots of elevation changes, lots of blow downs and if you are
late in the season (after Sept 15th) possible lots of snow. If you are
averaging 20-25 mpd you'll loose between 5-10 mpd. It's going to be
rainy....snowy?? slower. Bring a couple days extra food....keep your warm
clothes and don't travel alone.
