For wage slaves, it's all about vacation weeks; how many do you have? Can
you take a small sabbatical or afford time off without pay (if it's
available)?

For us retirees, our time is our own, but can our savings/portfolios afford
the expense?

Just curious as to how people find the time to spend months or even weeks
hiking the trail.  Do many of you have jobs that allow you to take breaks or
maybe you have seasonal jobs? I write this from my corporate desk job.
