[pct-l] tarps and short trips - in Michigan

I wonder if you could make a no- sew tarp with pinking shears on the edges 
so it wouldn't ravel, and buttons tied in to attach your lines. Seems like 
it would be sturdy enough and easier than sewing. Tha't assuming the 
material is wide enough. If not you would have to sew the two pieces 
together but still would save a lot of sewing by not finishing the edges. 
Pinking shears cut little zigzags in the fabric which help prevent fraying. 
Never tried it on silnylon but it might work.
