Patrick...upgrade your blackberry to an android phone.  Spend $9.99 and buy
the "Backcountry Navigator" app.  You can download USGS Topo maps and
Halfmile's GPS routes and waypoints to it for free (I suggest you donate to
halfmile).  If you carry a cell phone with you anyway then you're adding no
additional weight!!!  Why spend $100+ on a GPS unit -- replaceable "AA"
batteries perhaps?
