Hi,

In March 2011 there was an extensive discussion about carrying guns on the
PCT, you may wan to sift through the archives and see what has been said.

When playing bridge, in general one should not bid a suit they are not
willing to play.

Consider the situation that you are worried about and whether it could be
handled with non-lethal force. I would be willing to bet pepper spray,
bear spray, a taser or self defense training is lighter and safer for
everyone.

I don't recall a mention of weapons anywhere in Yogi's guide, especially
the sections: favorite gear,unique gear,luxury item,if i hiked the pct
again this is what i would do differently.
