Thank You ASABAT

Exactly!
What type of world would parents want to leave to their great, great grandchildren.
What type of trail do we want to leave hikers who want the life changing event we have so graciously received.

For the rest of you reading I consider ASABAT the PCT's #1 Trail Angel. Respect his word.
I have used his water report for 10,000 miles and would never hike any of the first 700 miles of the PCT without it. (Hikers, please help him with current updates. The current thru's are helping when they can.)

I think I know your board member?, but he cannot be a REAL hiker. He still has 400 miles in Washington to finish the trail.☺ Cool guy for us and for the Ranch.

The sale is complicated. I have already contacted a very respected member of the buying Indian Tribe (most call themselves Indians around here, BTW). He has told me who to contact when and if the sale goes through. I will wait until the deal is done, but Warner Ranch, and mostly our friend/board member will, by far, have the most influence.

Besides your response, ASABAT, I immediately received a response from a major Trail Angel on the other end of the Trail simply saying "
Love you Monty......:)".
Thank God for a Trail Angel who turned away our worst hiker nightmare ever for hiker PR in 2007. She WILL be remembered.

Let's keep the info flowing for the sake of our present and future hikers, and for our Trail Angels and supporting businesses.

BTW I day hiked 5 miles yesterday with no ill effects. I am ready to restart physical therapy again!............... Hike 2012? God, physical therapists, podiatrist, ortho doctor, chiropractor, the movie 2012, and maybe future acupuncture permitting (I also have to ask Mom.) I will be back in my summer home again, the PCT!

Thank all of you who watch out for future hikers

Monty

  Thanks Monty.

Besides being generally uncool, this could have worse effects in the near future as Warner Springs has been sold although the sale has not yet closed. I spoke with one of their board members this week and still no idea why it hasn't closed our when it will.

Remind everyone their actions affect everyone including themselves either up.the trail or in the future when they decide to hiker our again or their kids, nephews, or grand kids hike the trail.

Hi all PCT supporters again. I have been informed by hikers that hikers legally staying at Warner Ranch are letting non paying/non registered hikers stay an extra day or two at the ranch. Hikers who pay for one day are not leaving the grounds when their stay is over. They pay for a room one day, but scam to stay later without paying. Please send me hiker names and real names of hikers slipping them into their rooms, so I can inform trail angels up the trail. I have a personal interest as they are not only hurting other PCT hikers with bad hiker PR, but they are scamming on my friends at the ranch. I am on grounds almost every day trail angeling. Names of those contacting me will not be disclosed. You will be helping Hiker PR for all of us, past present and future. BTW The Ranch LOVES us! (again) and I do not want that to be marred by those illegally hosting other hikers. It's only a few bucks to add one more hiker to a room. Monty "He who limps is still walking." ~Stanislaw J.
