Yes, it is once again time for a major backpackerdom event.  It is astounding.  It is stupendous.  It is unbelievable.  It is a food rendezvous.  It is a one-stop hiker recharger super center.  The last outpost of civilization along with Kennedy Meadows before the mighty Sierras.  It is the June 9-12 Walker Pass Food Ruck.   

Switchback will be painting shelter stake florescent orange and provide Bishop CA Erick Schat's Bakkery goodies.  Head Chef and Wagon Master Meadow Ed and his crew will be cooking super good hiker foods.  Water will be available.  Switchback might even demonstrate his dehydrated water.  

Yes, it is once again time for this world famous event.  The must visit and stop along the trail to the snow covered Sierras.
