I could use some help please. I'm wanting to replace my 12 year old Polartec skin layer. I know silk will weight very much less, and far less bulky, but is it really as warm as the old Polartec? I'm having a hard time getting my head around that silk is warm. Any feedback will be appreciated. are we there yet ...going to the mountains is going home. John Muir
