[pct-l] Station Fire Detour: Any other options than a 40 mile road hike?

David,
Between the Station Fire closure and the endangered species closures
for the mountain yellow-legged frog the options are limited.

You might find Freebird's 2010 journal entries from 5/1 - 5/3 interesting:

As bad as it is, a lot of effort went into the current Station Fire
Detour. I'm pretty sure there is no legal better solution given
today's closures. Having said all that, I would monitor www.pcta.org
frequently. They will have the latest information on trail closures,
and changes can happen any time.
