Hey Gerry,

>From what I have been able to gather from folks onlist and offlist and
my website is that the vast majority of folks are going to be in the
10-18 pound BPW range. I have had a few people share with me that they
are 18-24 pounds BPW range. I have seen (I think) 4 people mention
they are in the 6-10 pound PBW range. And two people plus myself have
come forward saying they are sub 5 pound BPW.

Obviously a lot more folks hiking this year than those numbers
indicate, it is just what I remember reading folks mentioning.

I think if you are at 17 pounds for your big3 you will probably end up
in the heaviest BPW group - but you will not be alone from what I have
hear people share.

Take your pack, load it up with your big 3 and all of your gear and
try to do 50 squats... if you die in the process, well, you know your
pack was too heavy :-D
(just kidding - giggle)

Have a good one Gerry and keep us updated on how you progress through things!

John
